Confirmation
for 7th and 8th grades meets Wednesdays at 7PM.
This year,
we are using the Here We Stand Confirmation curriculum
from Augsburg Fortress. We are studying Luther's Small
Catechism on Wednesday Evenings and Lutheran Theology
during the 7th and 8th grade Sunday School Class. Confirmands:

to do your weekly assignments.
During
Advent, the confirmands each undertake a creative project
of their choice. This past year, their focus was Baptism.

During
Lent, the confirmands go on a 2-day retreat for study
and fellowship time. The past two years, we have been
blessed to hold the retreat at Skelly
Lodge.

Youth
Group: The Junior and Senior High Youth meet
on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 PM. They also
have at least one monthly activity.
Devis
and Ellica Support: After the 2006 National Youth
Gathering, the Youth wanted to fund the education of Devis
and Ellica, as a sign of our love for our Rwandan neighbors:

The
mission of the Joy Youth Group Education Fund is
to support others less fortunate than ourselves
in obtaining a good education so that they can better
themselves, their communities, their country, their
church, and the global society. As stated by Matthew,
we are not only called to love the Lord above all,
we are also called to love our neighbors. We see
this as a command to care for and help others make
the most of their lives and situations. We believe
education is a vital necessity in the quest to live
a full productive life.
