All people are welcome to worship at Joy Lutheran Church. Our worship is structured around the ancient Christian liturgical pattern for worship; but don't worry if you are not familiar with it, our Sunday bulletin lays out the liturgy in a simple and all-inclusive format. Because we include the hymns directly in the bulletin, we use a variety of sources including hymns published in the Lutheran Book of Worship, With One Voice and Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Take a closer look at a sample bulletin. Every Sunday, expect to hear the Word of God proclaimed, and the Lord's Supper celebrated. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion.

On any given Sunday, you could encounter people from 6 weeks to 96 years of age. Some come in jeans and t-shirts, others in khakis or their "Sunday best."
You will see smiling faces and meet caring people; some may be facing pain and loss, others may be celebrating new blessings in their lives. Some may call themselves "conservative," others "liberal". Some see themselves as rich others see themselves as poor. But what we all have in common is a desire to worship and serve others as Christ has served us.
We know a variety of liturgical music settings, and the congregation is willing to try new music. When you come, you may find yourself singing well-known American hymns, spirituals, and tunes from far away places like Africa, South America and Europe. Some might be just a few years old; others, hundreds of years old.
Families are encouraged to worship together (we really don't mind fussy babies!), although nursery care is available during the services. All children are welcome to come forward for the Children's Sermon each Sunday.
